I need my tether in a hurry! What shipping options do I have?

We offer USPS Priority ($4.60) which usually arrives in 2-4 days (can be more, depending on where you are) and USPS Express ($16.25) which usually arrives in one or two days (can be as much as 4 days, depending on where you are). Internet orders placed before 8:00 a.m. PST are shipped the same business day, otherwise they are shipped the next business day.

What size tethers do you have?

Our tethers are adjustable. To determine whether our tether will fit your child, please measure their chest circumference over their clothes (measured directly underneath their armpits). The harness' chest dimension is easily adjustable from 21 inches to 28 inches.

Is it comfortable?

Yes. I took great care to make it comfortable. The 100% cotton padding is not only colorful, but also comfortable, to prevent chafing and to soften the edges. The "side-release" buckles are of a smooth design and are placed on the side of the child's body, and not in the back, to make it comfortable when worn in a car-seat. Is it strong?

The harness and tether are extremely strong for what they are designed for - gently restraining your child from running away in a crowded place. On the other hand, they are certainly not designed to be used as a climbing or sailing harness or for any activity where the child may become fully suspended on the harness. It is designed to only be attached to the wrist of a responsible adult. Please use the appropriate life safety devices for your child and yourself when engaging in dangerous activities.

How long is the lead/tether?

The lead is 3 feet. We found this to be the right balance of a child's freedom and safety.

How does the tether attach to the adult?

The lead is designed to fit an adult's wrist, leaving their hands free. It is adjustable and secure. The lead loops through a sturdy D-ring and wraps around to be held in place with Velcro, allowing you to quickly release, if necessary. See How to Put On Your Tether.

I have twins and am looking for safety harnesses. Do you have a twins harness? If not, do you offer a discount for multiples?

Many of our customers have twins, triplets or even more! We do not have a harness for multiples with one common handle, as we think that this is too confining. We are, however, happy to offer discounts for multiples. Please send us an email.

I'm concerned that my child would not like to wear the harness, how should I approach it?

This approach has worked well for our customers: Present it with a positive attitude to your child - as a cool new thing for them to wear. We also suggest to let them wear the harness without the lead at first. It is very comfortable and children really like our cheerful patterns. Also, use it sparingly and not as a punishment, rather as a better alternative to holding their hand or putting them in a pram/stroller. Gentle Uses Only!

I need a harness to connect an autistic child to a specially trained assistance dog. Can your tether be used that way?

No, our tether cannot be used for this purpose. It is only designed to be attached to an adult's wrist.

What is your return procedure?

If you need to return your tether, please email our customer service number for a return authorization number. Then place the tether in its original package, with the RA# on the outside, and return it to the address on our "contact us" page. You will receive a full credit for the returned merchandize, minus the actual shipping cost.
Any packages without a return authorization, and refused packages, packages returned after three delivery attempts, or due to an incorrect address, will receive a credit minus the actual shipping charge, and a 15% restocking charge. Read our money back guarantee
